I'm Jan, studying a Masters in Landscape Architecture at Victoria University Wellington, based in Whakatane. Returning to study reflects a desire to expand my creative and technical knowledge into the public and commercial realm, where landscape architecture can impact social connection and build resilience for communities, and foster kaitiakitanga in our environment.

Prior to studying, I've been a successful designer in the world of residential Landscape Design in NZ for the past 25 years.

When I'm not studying or designing, I am busy weeding and pruning in my own farm garden, or tramping in the bush somewhere in our beautiful Aotearoa.
